This fantastic exhibition examines two amazing objects, the Shroud of Turin and The Sudarium of Oviedo. These two relics, after many scientific tests, have come down to us as the sole items that may have belonged to Jesus Christ.

The approximate duration of exposure is 55 minutes. You will also have at your disposal, included in the price, an audio guide in Spanish, English, German, French and Italian. The exhibition ends on June 28 2013. Opening hours: from Monday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. More information: click here.

The Sudarium of Oviedo is a relic of the Catholic Church. The original is deposited in the Holy Chamber of Oviedo Cathedral. In the exhibition will find an exact copy of the original made by the Spanish Center Sindonologuía CES. The Sudarium (Latin for sweat cloth) is claimed to be the cloth wrapped around the head of Jesus Christ after he died, according to the Gospel.

The Shroud of Turin is a piece of linen cloth 4’41 m long and 1’13 m wide. Supposedly it covered the body of Jesus Christ. The linen cloth bears the image of a man who appears to have suffered physical trauma in a manner consistent with crucifixion. In the exhibition you’ll find a perfect facsimile made by the laboratory of Turin.

The core parts of the exhibition are two incredible rooms: the “Sala Forense” (forensic rooom) and the “Sala Científica” (scientific room). They reveal the studies conducted by top experts over more than 100 years. The visit will provide you with extraordinary data on the study of the Shroud.

Do not hesitate to contact our staff if you need any information.
